All hail the bed and breakfast, guest house, small independent hotel… who knows the difference anyway? We’re here to tirelessly champion all that is good in our industry and defend it vigorously against the forces that want to drain its vitality. Let’s celebrate and make sustainable everything that helps the world of independent accommodation to be varied, fun, interesting and profitable.
We will do two things: 1) Talk and 2) Generate Sales.
1) Talk: listen, chat, share, laugh and inform.
theBandBer.com is a place to share ideas, join forces, learn new things, find strength in numbers and have a little fun along the way. It’s not a forum for whingeing but somewhere to find solutions and provide answers to challenges and issues.
2) Generate Sales: sustainability requires bookings.
As an experienced accommodation owner, you already know that for variety to survive it requires sustenance and that means profitable sales with more heads on beds. The rise of the internet and social media presents major opportunities. Together we can grasp these technologies and make them work to sustain independent accommodation. A sister site to theBandBer.com will be a customer-facing site called BandBer.com, where we will generate sales.
theBandBer.com is a trade site, so there will be no membership costs. There will also be opportunities to advertise and be listed on the public site, www.bandber.com. We aim to be self-funding within a year.

Hi and Good afternoon.
Craig from Free to book has given me a shout out on twitter and has suggested that I speak to you with regards to the possibility of informing others of my relief management services to the owners of Guest House and Bed & Breakfast throughout the country.
I am one of your followers on Twitter, but I can’t direct message you there at the moment.
I should appreciate if yours could become a platform for what it is that I am offering.
Warm Regards
Valerie Marshall
Don’t know what your all about yet; but you have my attention. I have been operating a B&B in Canada’s Arctic since 1999, we are located in the heart of the Diamond Capital of North America – Yellowknife, NT, Canada. Guests come here for the vast wilderness fishing hunting and of course to see the Northern Lights. We have the best location in the world for them. SO__ show me your stuff
Faith
Good Day!
“theBandBer.com” is the same as “Freetobook.com” ? If not what is the cost to register to “theBandBer.com”?
Thanks
Not sure who or what you are at the moment, but so far I like what I have read, it will be quite nice to read comments and info from other like minded B&B or Guest House owners any help advise we can give or get will be great.
Hi, interested to read comments about Trip Advisor reviews which can have a very damaging and unfair negative effect.
I,m not wingeing, just offering advise that if you get an unfair one that you know in your heart is valid, then take it on the chin and take actionto correct.
We had an unfair one TA would not reconsider,so we buried the negative one with many positve ones from future guests.{you have to scroll down a long way to find it now}
But the best reviews that you can get is not to believe what guests write in your visitors book at reception, but to put a sheet of paper and envelope in your guests room and ask them to write their honest thoughts about your place and then seal the envelope.
I guarantee you that you will get all the valuable feedback that you need, IF YOU DARE!!!
