Some fresh snapshots today, courtesy of 4hoteliers.com, from TripAdvisor’s on-going attempt to drive hospitality providers completely round the twist:
- The Accommodation Association of Australia has been getting more and more complaints from property owners about “malicious”, “bogus” and “vexatious” reviews (including one where the vengeful former partner of a staff member accused them of being drunk on duty)
- In the UK a previously number one-ranked hotel was ‘red flagged’ for allegedly ‘writing their own reviews’.
- Property owners trying to respond to reviews through TripAdvisor itself report that the responses are so heavily moderated as to make them almost pointless.
And so on. But, there are glimpses of hope, as we’ve reported already: http://bit.ly/Lx959u
